Apple announces Palla’s Cat Via Mashable
(Okay, it’s really Mountain Lion, but Palla’s Cat would have been way better)
(Also, the click it for 1920x1200 wallpaper)
Interesting, though judging from the comments on the app store I won’t be rushing right out and buying this as everything gets saved to their website and there are absolutely no privacy settings.

Steve Jobs - Wired February, 1996 |
I’ve supported Apple products professionally for nearly 15 years. I scoffed when they introduced the iMac, after all how long could they possibly last with that giant CRT sitting on top of the CPU like that? I have a third gen royal blue iMac sitting in the corner of my office. It doesn’t get turned on much, but the point is it does get turned on and I could still surf the net with it if I chose. How often can you say that about an 11 year old PC?
It took me to 10.3 to embrace OSX, from a support stand point it was a huge about face for me. Now, I can’t imagine running anything other than OSX. Lion is the operating system of choice on both my Macbook Pro at work, and my 27inch iMac at home.
And I certainly wasn’t the first person in line for an iPhone, I mean really, who needs to be that accessible. Now? I’m on my second model, looking to up grade to my third model in the next 4 to 5 months and can’t possibly comprehend what my day would be like with out my iPhone telling me when I had a meeting, the weather, and a run down of the email that came in while I was sleeping.
Steve Job didn’t directly invent any of the products Apple is known for today, his talent lay in knowing how to utilize the talent around him in such away that it could take a struggling firm with a few loyal users, and turn it around in 15 years and give it a 10% market share in the PC market and a stranglehold on the smartphone and tablet market. He changed our perceptions about how technology should work, how user interfaces should look, and most importantly, how nerds should market themselves to normal people.
He’ll be missed.
